Question: "Does God exist? Is there evidence for the existence of God?"
Does God exist? It's a fundamental question for everyone. I find it interesting that so much attention is given to this debate. The latest surveys tell us that over 90% of people in the world today believe in the existence of God or some higher power. If so many people believe, then why is it such a big question?
Somehow the responsibility is placed on those who believe God does exist to somehow prove that He really does exist. To me, I think it should be the other way around. My goal on this site, is to partner with you in exploring the question. What is the basis for anyone's belief? Even agnostics believe … they believe God does not exist. What do you believe? Why do you believe it? Is it enough to have a rationale for your beliefs? Should you have evidence for your belief? What evidence is necessary? How do we validate our beliefs?

Maybe the reason it’s such a big question is that God or ‘higher power’ has to be defined. Is a ‘higher power’ God? And if so, then why can’t everyone call Him God? If the muslims believe in allah, isn’t that the same as God? If you don’t believe in God, then you have to believe in something other than God, right?

I don’t think there is a God, as an atheist i beleive in evolution etc and not a divine creator. Science hasn’t all the answers maybe it never will but more and more evidence is being found through fossils etc that for
instance mankind goes back further than first thought. The bible says that man was made in god’s own image how can that be as god is said to be god the father, god the son, and the holy ghost. And why does god always have to be male the Adam and Eve story is sexist towards women as most religions are in my opinion, Religion is man-made it keep’s people in their place through fear in a lot of cases and hardly has any place for free- thinkers, i would rather be an a non-beleiver.

I’m really searching for the answer to this one. I was raised as a scientist and an agnostic, but over the past five years I’ve increasingly started believing in God, or maybe not. What I actually believe is in the Earth as a God: that what unites all of us on the Earth, even on the other side of the planet like Israel, is the Earth. And it’s between all of us as well. It makes the most sense that a God would have something to do with the Earth. If you can prove to me that a god is real, I’d be very happy to read and listen and to prove it. I’m searching very hard for this answer and it feels like my future is dependent upon finding it. For now, I’m leaning Catholic and doing lots of research on my own to gain a head up over the conventional church goers.
